DEVELOPER PROFILE:

The Oswald Family is an active Custer community supporter and a local home and land owner. Based primarily in Minneapolis, the family has had a love of the Black Hills, and the Custer area in particular, for the last 10 years. This is their only development.

The intention of the family is to create a high quality neighborhood community in Circle Pines where the natural beauty of the area and homeowner privacy are both respected and enjoyed.

Our love for the Black Hills is reflected in the design of Circle Pines. The timber was selectively pruned to maximize the beauty and health of the environment, as well as to enhance the privacy of each individual lot. All utilities have been buried so the view from your living room window will be natural, not crisscrossed with power lines and utility poles. The roads have been paved so clouds of dust are not part of your living experience at Circle Pines.

The family is involved in managing The Pacer Corporation, a small Custer-based mining company. The Pacer Corporation has been a member of the Custer community for over thirty years with most all employees being born and raised in the beautiful Black Hills. Pacer families live, work and raise their families in Custer.

Pacer takes pride in managing their mining operations which involve no chemical processing, minimal land disruption and complete reclamation of mining sites. Our mica and feldspar operations are completely environmentally friendly. Circle Pines, while never commercially mined, was a previous holding of Pacers. Interestingly, the land did have an old hand dug garnet deposit which has been carefully reclaimed. Pacer is proud to be an environmentally responsible member of Custer and the surrounding Black Hills.
